All About Us

AeroJC is a student club started in 2016 by a team of seven students from one of the most reputed universities - JSSSTU in Karnataka.
As of now there are more than 40 students from across several disciplines of Engineering. The club organise events for the purpose of educating and training students in the field of aerodynamics.The club hosts an annual event where students get hands on experience on designing and modeling of a plane.
Teams also work on building hobby planes for better understanding of the fundamentals of the plane and its functionalities. The club also represents the university in both national and international events and participates in the annual competition hosted by SAE, for which the team analyzes, designs and fabricates a RC aircraft.

Our Objectives

Every year the club actively participates in the SAE aero design West in various fields such as flight rounds, technical presentation and design report (add if there are anything else) in the micro class category. The entire team participates in this competition and proudly represents the country and the esteemed University of JSS STU in the United States. Annually the club conducts many fun and informative events like Propulse, Vortex, SolidWorks workshop, GlideGuide, etc. to introduce the fundamentals of aerodynamics and the softwares used to design and build an airplane to the young and enthusiastic students.
The club designs and fabricates many RC planes throughout the year with different features running through different iterations to come up with the one perfect airplane that can help the team win in big stages.
